WRITING SEMINARS

WRITING SEMINARS WITH CHIP DEFFAA...

From time to time, award-winning playwright/author Chip Deffaa offers private writing seminars in New York and New Jersey.  Spend eight  weeks in a small group, working on your script,  book, or other writings  under the guidance of Deffaa.

"I can help anyone become a better writer," Deffaa says. "I can help unleash your creativity, teach you how to become more productive.  In eight weeks--whether you're working on a script or a book, or other forms of writing--I can help bring out the best in you."

Deffaa has written eight published books, seven published plays, and countless newspaper and magazine articles.  Deffaa is available for small-group seminars (meeting once a week for eight weeks or so, in northern New Jersey or in midtown Manhattan) or for individual private instruction (at his home or the client's home, or at a  studio in NYC).

"People have come to me, saying they want to write but don't have time, or perhaps they feel blocked, or perhaps they find they start projects but don't always finish them.  Or perhaps they're good writers and just want to get better, and take their work to the next level.  (I love working with motivated writers at all levels.)  Or perhaps they have questions about getting productions of their plays, or finding publishers for their books.... All of these problems, and more, are old-hat to me; I'm adept at helping people overcome such problems and move towards their goals," Deffaa says. "If you want to work on a script or a book, or articles or essays, let me be an ally, to help you do what you'd like to do.  Each week, we'll go over your progress.  It'll be challenging, rewarding, and fun."

Spend eight weeks with Deffaa--each seminar lasting about two hours--and work on your script, book,  articles or essays in a small group. He notes:   "I've helped aspiring young playwrights just starting out, and I've helped seasoned professional authors who welcome inisightful support as they work on books.  And others, in between.  Whatever your goals are as a writer, let me teach you how to better fulfill your dreams."

The fee for the eight-week writing seminar is $400.  Seminars are held in the evening, in Hawthorne, New Jersey and in midtown Manhattan.  (You must be at least 14 years old to participate. And sometimes we'll run separate seminars for youths.)  Or, if you prefer to have individual, private instruction (one-on-one tutorials with Deffaa at your home or at his home or studio), that is possible, too, at a different cost.
